I first heard about Mark Zuckerberg’s “Social Graph” when Dr. Long explained it to us in class.  I am still not exactly sure what it is.  It sounds like a concept Zuckerberg came up with to explain how everything becomes connected through Facebook.  This article by Boonsri Dickinson helped me understand “The Social Graph” a little easier.  The funny part is, The Social Graph isn’t a graph at all.

Ultimately, The Social Graph gives organizations an advantage.  It allows them to get their brand out easier.  By using the “Like” button, organizations and businesses are able to spread their page to masses of people.  This feature allows organizations to openly market to millions of Facebook users.
